Privacy policy for the aijour app
Last updated: 16 October 2026
aijour is an app with news about artificial intelligence and courses from Promptly. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what you can do.
Data controller
PAPBJØRN ApS (Promptly), CVR 40368442, Grejsdalsvej 437, 7100 Vejle, Denmark. Contact: info@promptly.dk.
You can use the app without an account
You can read all news and see all courses without signing in and without giving us any information about you.
If you sign in
Signing in is optional and works with a link sent by email or with Sign in with Apple. We store your email address (with Sign in with Apple this may be Apple's private relay address) and possibly your name, what you have saved (articles and courses), your interests and your notification choices. The purpose is that your choices and saved items follow you across devices.
If you allow notifications
We store a push address for your phone (from Apple via our provider Expo), your chosen language and interests, what you have opted in to (important news and/or new courses from Promptly) and when. The purpose is to send you the messages you chose and no others. You can turn them off under Me → Notifications or in your phone's settings.
If you sign up for the newsletter
We store your email address. You receive an email to confirm the sign-up, and you can always unsubscribe via the link in the email.
Reading statistics
The app records which articles are shown, how long and how far they are read, and clicks on to sources and courses. The data is labelled with the source "app" and a random visit id. It is not linked to your account, name or email, not even when you are signed in. The purpose is to see what readers find relevant and to make aijour better.
Ads in the app
The app only shows Promptly's own ads, for example for courses. We measure which ads are shown and clicked in the same way as reading: with the source "app" and a random visit id. We use no advertising or tracking companies, we do not use Apple's advertising identifier, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
On your phone
Your settings (theme, text size, language), your saved articles and a copy of the news are stored on your phone so the app is fast and works offline. They are deleted when you delete the app.
Who we share with
We never sell your information. We use providers that process information on our behalf: Vercel (hosting, servers in Frankfurt, EU), Supabase (database, servers in Frankfurt, EU), Resend (sending emails) and Expo and Apple (push notifications). Vercel, Resend and Expo are US companies.
How long
Account, saved articles and choices: until you delete your account. Push address: until you turn off notifications, delete the app or the address stops working. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. Reading and ad statistics: used in aggregate and not linked to you.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your information. You can delete your account and everything linked to it directly in the app under Me → Delete account. Write to info@promptly.dk if you have questions. You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (datatilsynet.dk).
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top and tell you about significant changes in the app.
