Gemini can now connect to more well-known apps

Google is expanding its AI chatbot Gemini with connections to apps such as Adobe, Airtable, Linear and Peloton. It is meant to make it easier to get tasks done without switching between different programs.

Google is now rolling out a new feature to its AI assistant Gemini. The feature is called Connected Apps and makes it possible to connect popular apps directly to Gemini, so you can use them without leaving the chat.
The new apps include Adobe (used for image and design work), Airtable (for organizing data and projects), Linear (for project management, especially in tech companies) and Peloton (for training and exercise).
No more switching between tabs
The idea is that you avoid jumping between many different programs and browser tabs. Instead, you can, for example, manage a project, create a design element or plan your workout directly inside Gemini.
To get started, you need to activate the apps you want to use in Gemini's settings yourself. You can also mention an app directly in a conversation by typing @ followed by the app's name, or simply ask Gemini to use it.
What this means for you
If you already use Adobe, Airtable, Linear or Peloton, you can now save time by controlling them directly from Gemini instead of switching between tabs. Go into Gemini's settings and turn on the apps you use day to day. After that, you can type @ and the app's name in a conversation, or just ask Gemini to fetch or update something in the chosen app.
