Oracle has unveiled a tool that lets companies create and manage industry-specific AI agents with little or no code. It is expected to be available in the US within 12 months.

On October 21, 2026, Oracle introduced Oracle AI Agent Studio for Industry Applications. It is an environment where users can create, test, deploy and manage AI agents and workflows for business processes specific to a particular industry. Little or no programming knowledge is required, as it is a so-called no-code and low-code tool.

An AI agent is a program that can carry out tasks on its own in multiple steps, rather than simply answering a single question.

How it works

According to Oracle, the studio comes with prebuilt agents for various industries, along with workflows, templates and tools. Agents can be built by describing in plain language what they should do, or by editing the flow visually.

Unite.ai, which has covered the launch, writes that the studio can coordinate multistep processes across Oracle's applications. It also supports Model Context Protocol (MCP), which makes it possible to connect agents to approved tools.

Oracle says users can choose between several generative AI models via OCI Enterprise AI. There are also security controls and role-based access management, so that only certain people get access to certain things. According to Unite.ai, there is also testing and debugging, where users can follow what the agent has done, as well as monitoring and governance throughout the agent's lifecycle.

Industries and examples

According to Unite.ai, the target industries are engineering and construction, retail, finance, restaurants, public sector, utilities, communications, and hospitality and travel.

The examples include identifying risks at schedule milestones in construction and suggesting mitigation, adapting product information and catalogs in retail, and extending agents to payments, creditworthiness analysis and customer preferences in finance.

Assessments

Simon de Montfort Walker, who is head of Industry Applications at Oracle, says AI agents create value when they can work within the processes, data and controls that define how an industry operates.

Eric Newmark of the analyst firm IDC assesses that the tool tackles the friction that causes AI adoption to stall, and that it could make the move from pilot to practical use easier. According to Unite.ai, Kevin Sullivan of PwC points out that there is a need for trust in how agents make decisions, access data and work within the company's controls.

When can it be used?

The product is not yet available. Oracle expects it to arrive in the US within the next 12 months, and plans to expand over time to all supported OCI Enterprise AI regions. Pricing is not included in the announcement.

It is not the same as AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications, which Oracle launched in March 2025.
