Danish FSA warns: AI finds security holes faster than they can be closed

Finanstilsynet warns that AI now discovers vulnerabilities in the financial sector faster than companies can fix them. This creates a growing backlog of known but unresolved security holes.

Finanstilsynet (the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority) is sounding the alarm: AI tools have become so good at finding security holes that the financial sector cannot keep up with closing them again.
The problem is not that there are suddenly more flaws. It is that AI finds the existing ones faster than people and systems can fix them.
For companies in the financial sector, or that work with it, this is a practical marker: do you have a process that can keep pace with how fast vulnerabilities are now being discovered? If not, it is worth looking at now, not when the bill arrives.
For private customers, this means nothing urgent. Banks and insurers still have to meet the same security requirements as always: it is just the workload behind the scenes that is growing.
In short: AI has become sharp at finding the holes. Now humans just need to become equally fast at patching them.
