Google wants artificial intelligence to run the family's daily life
AI-generated and checked against the sources listed below.
Google is testing a new AI agent called CC that is meant to coordinate the whole family's calendar, shopping and meal plans. Here are 4 concrete things you can already ask Google's chatbot Gemini to help with at home.

Google recently launched a new feature called CC, which is meant to make life easier for families with children. An AI agent is a computer program that doesn't just answer questions but can carry out tasks for you on its own, for example filling out forms or adding things to your calendar.
With CC, up to six family members can share emails, calendar appointments and to-do lists with a shared account. The AI can then fill out permission slips from school, make shopping lists, plan the week's meals and work out when to drive the kids to after-school activities. According to Google, you choose what you share, and the system won't pass information on without permission.
There are important limitations, though. CC is available only in the US and requires that you be 18 or older and have a personal Gmail account, meaning not a school or work account. You have to join a waitlist to try the feature, and there are still unresolved questions about how long Google stores the family's data and whether the information is used to train AI models. So it's not something Danish families can start using right now.
Four things you can try now
On the other hand, anyone with the Gemini app, which is already available in Danish, can try four concrete things today.
First, you can use Gemini's camera feature to film a fault on an appliance, for example a blinking light on the router, and ask what it means and how to fix it.
Second, you can ask Gemini to make a weekly meal plan tailored to your needs, or take a picture of the fridge and get suggestions for dishes based on what you already have at home, so you avoid food waste.
Third, you can photograph receipts and ask Gemini to extract amounts and categories, so you don't have to enter your budget yourself.
Fourth, you can ask for a comparison if you're buying something bigger like a car or a washing machine, and even get tips on negotiating the price down.
Overall, both pieces of news point in the same direction: Google is betting big on artificial intelligence relieving Danes and others of the boring, practical parts of everyday life. The finished agent solutions aren't yet available here, but you can try the simple Gemini tricks today.
